The mission of the WVNPS is to further the appreciation and conservation of the state’s flora through education and voluntary action.

Our programs
WVNPS supports a variety of programs, including:
Field trips to learn about plants in their natural habitats
Activities that promote the preservation and enhancement of WV’s wild plant communities
Programs to educate the public about native plants and their threats
Documentation of native flora, especially rare and endangered species
Periodic newsletter and communications with members on topics of interest
